‘ASA Monographs’ is an ongoing book series that reflects the interest and research footprint of the Association of Social Anthropologists (ASA): the professional anthropological association of the UK, in collaboration with partner associations in the Commonwealth. Since 1965, when the series started, the “monographs” have included collaborative volumes that capture topical themes and debates among the members of the Association. Seen in its entirety, the series captures important developments in Social Anthropology and sets the tone of major directions in the discipline, including a critical assessment of established and emerging anthropological sub-fields. In the past, the series was published by different publishers—for a full list of titles visit the ASA website. Starting with volume 59, the series is now published by Berghahn Books.

Prospective authors are colleagues involved in the ASA conferences and special events. The ASA is subsidising only volumes emerging from its own events. For any queries related to authorship in the series, please contact Dimitrios Theodossopoulos.
