Sartre Studies International

An Interdisciplinary Journal of Existentialism and Contemporary Culture

Volume 21, Issue 2

This is a special issue on the Diverse Lineages of Existentialism conference held in St. Louis from June 19 to 21, 2014. This conference featured a number of panels devoted to the work of eminent Sartre scholars: Ronald Aronson, David Detmer, Thomas R. Flynn and Ronald Santoni. We are pleased to present articles based on the papers presented at those panels in this issue.

The International Journal of Social Quality

Volume 5, Issue 1

This issue follows the Journal’s ambition of stimulating a dialogue about various approaches to financial-economic, socio-political, socio-cultural, and environmental challenges. Raymond Apthorpe’s piece, which raises questions about the duality between “the economic” and “the social,” serves as the organizational principle for the other articles, which all address aspects of this issue.

Critical Survey

Volume 27, Issue 3

In using celebrity encounters as a starting point, each of the articles in this special issue builds in different ways on recent work on celebrity.

Anthropology in Action

Journal for Applied Anthropology in Policy and Practice

Volume 22, Issue 3

This special issue collects essays arising the 4th Post-graduate Conference of the Royal Anthropological Institute, held at Brunel University (London) on 3-4 September 2014. The event aimed to explore a variety of perspectives concering the production and ownership of anthropological knowledge, including issues of authority and ethical responsibility.

Democratic Theory
