In the last thirty years, an increasing number of scholars globally have introduced culture into the historical study of international relations, an important dimension they believed was missing from the field. While some senior scholars have played significant roles, the bulk of the work has come from younger scholars who have brought insights from other disciplines to the study of international history. This series presents some of this innovative work, with the first volume setting the scene.
