Sport Matters

Series Editor:

Editorial Board:

Paul Darby, University of Ulster
David Hollander, New York University

The role of sport in our world is undeniable, and understanding to what degree it reflects or obscures that world is increasingly valuable. Sport Matters features works that use sport to illuminate social and cultural issues that include, but are not limited to globalization, nationalism, migration, gender, labor rights. While Sport Matters is a series drawing on all of social sciences, it centers on works that are grounded in ethnography in its broadest sense. Sport Matters also looks to serve as a meeting place for different disciplinary orientations to the study of sport.
