This year&#8217;s theme is: \u201c<em>It Matters How We Open Knowledge: Building Structural Equity.<\/em>\u201d In the spirit of this theme, Berghahn is thrilled that <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.berghahnjournals.com\/saas\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Social Anthropology\/Anthropologie Sociale<\/em><\/a>, the journal of the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easaonline.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">European Association of Social Anthropologists<\/a>, is transitioning to fully open access by joining the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.berghahnjournals.com\/boa\" target=\"_blank\">Berghahn Open Anthro \u2013 Subscribe to Open (S2O) initiative<\/a>, which will enter its third year in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the anthropology discipline\u2019s enthusiastic support for open access and Berghahn\u2019s current success with the Berghahn Open Anthro pilot, EASA and Berghahn\u2019s partnership reflects the common goal of finding a sustainable and equitable solution for publisher, society, and researcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mariya Ivancheva, President\nof EASA:&nbsp;<em>\u201cEASA\u2019s members voted overwhelmingly to take our journal Open\nAccess in a way that is sustainable and equitable. It will allow all\nanthropologists, anywhere in the world, to access our journal and hopefully\namend at least partially the asymmetry of access to knowledge that paywalled\ncontent has meant for colleagues and students in less financially resourced\nparts of the continent and the world.
