The National Women’s History Museum was founded in 1996 and currently has administrative offices in Alexandria, VA while it works towards the goal of a permanent museum site in Washington, DC.

The Museum researches, collects and exhibits the contributions of women to the social, cultural, economic and political life of the United States in a context of world history.

The National Women’s History Museum website hosts online exhibits ranging in topic from the lives of Jewish-American women to women in film and beyond.
